Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng said yesterday that Lou Pak Sang, one of the two deputy-directors of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ), will succeed Leong Lai, who will retire early next month, as the bureau’s director.

Tam made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of an exhibition at the bureau’s Educational Resources Centre in Nam Van. The exhibition showcases the use of information technology (IT) in education in the city.

Tam said that Leong, who has been the bureau’s director since 2011, has made significant contributions to Macau’s education sector, particularly her efforts in promoting science and technology education in local schools and the application of IT in education in schools.
