A bogus marriage case involving a “couple” and a go-between, has been discovered, Public Security Police (PSP) spokeswoman Lai In Hong said at a regular press conference yesterday.

Lai identified the “couple” as a local man in his fifties surnamed Au and a woman from Guangdong in her thirties surnamed Chen. Lai said that a woman surnamed Kwok, who is a non-permanent resident, was suspected of having acted as their go-between.

The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) notified the Public Security Police (PSP) about the case last year.

This handout photo by the Public Security Police (PSP) shows a police officer escorting the three suspects (their faces having been pixelated by the police) in the fake marriage case to a police vehicle on Tuesday.
