MGM China’s Cotai property will not open until some time “within the month of February”, a statement from the US gaming operator said yesterday.
The company had recently planned to finally open MGM COTAI on January 29 after a raft of previous delays, with its CEO Grand Bowie telling the media just last week that most of the hotel, shops and restaurants would open their doors on January 29, while there would be a “bedding-in” period in the run-up to the grand opening ceremony on February 13 when its state-of-the-art theatre would be up and running.
A statement from MGM yesterday said that the doors at MGM COTAI won’t be open until next month, without giving an exact date.
