Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng yesterday accepted Cecilia Tse Heng Sai request to resign for health reasons as president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).

The Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture (GSASC) said in a statement yesterday that Tam has meanwhile proposed to Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On that senior civil servant Mok Ian Ian be appointed as the new head of the bureau.

Tam considers Mok suitable to take up the position as she has extensive work experience in the public administration, the statement said.
