Customs officers raided this week a pharmacy and the warehouse of its supplier that allegedly connived in the selling of counterfeit health care pills, according to a statement by Customs Service.

According to the statement, a customer reported having purchased bottles of suspected counterfeit Tin Hei Pills, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for amenorrhea, at a pharmacy in Nam Van. After investigating the pharmacy, officers seized 108 bottles of bogus Tin Hei Pills on Tuesday. Later that day they went to the warehouse of the pharmacy’s supplier in the Inner Harbour area where they confiscated another 528 bottles of the product. The confiscated bottles – if genuine – would have had a retail value of 26,000 patacas.

According to Wikipedia, amenorrhoea is the absence of a menstrual period in a woman of reproductive age.
