The police on Monday caught two mainlanders, one for having entered Macau illegally and the other for running an illegal inn, Public Security Police (PSP) spokeswoman Lei Wa Seong said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Lei identified the suspects as a woman from Shanxi province in her 20s surnamed Wang and a man from Henan province in his 30s surnamed Liu, with both claiming to be unemployed.
Lei said that the police recently received a tip-off about an illegal immigrant staying in a flat in Taipa, and on Monday the police went to there to investigate.
