The police on Wednesday nabbed nine women from the mainland working as “masseuses” in six illegal inns, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said yesterday during a regular press conference.

Lei said that during a routine inspection on Wednesday, police officers raided several residential flats such as in Rua da Erva, Patio de Chan Loc, Travessa de Lam Tac Un, where illegal massage parlours were suspected.

According to Lei, the police officers nabbed nine women from Guangdong and Sichuan provinces, aged between 25 and 50, in six different flats. Many bottles of massage oil and towels were found in each flat. After questioning by the police, they admitted that they provided “massage” services at a rate ranging between 200 patacas and 300 patacas per hour.
