Lawmakers-cum-unionists Ella Lei Cheng I and Leong Sun Iok yesterday urged the government to take legal action against an illegal land reclamation project in Hac Sa Village in Coloane to ensure that its culprits are held to account.

The two directly-elected legislators also urged the government to actively enforce the law to combat the illegal occupation of public land.

Lei and Leong yesterday briefed the media near the village about the illegal land reclamation project – that was confirmed by the government earlier this week – and the illegal storing of construction materials and chemicals in the village.
