Macau’s population at the end of last year increased by 8,200 year on year to 653,100, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday.
The population figure included 179,456 non-resident workers, up by 1,818 year on year.
Some 20.1 percent of the population at the end of last year lived in Taipa (104,700) and Coloane (26,700). The Taipa population figure included the University of Macau’s Hengqin campus.
