In an in-depth walking tour along the coast of west Coloane, those taking part will see the old days of the village come to life as performers re-enact scenes of how life was back in the 60s, how it was once a fishing port, and how shipbuilding once flourished.
This “Days of Sail” performance walking tour is the second part of a three-part project sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Bureau that the local Dream Theatre Association has spent two years preparing, as a way to document the old days of west Coloane and provide a vivid presentation of the disappearing traditional craftsmanship of shipbuilding.
The first part of the project was held last year with a shipbuilding culture and workshop. The walking tour, of which all four sessions are fully booked, will be taking place tomorrow and Sunday.
Performers pose in one of the scenes at a shipyard from the “Days of Sail” performance walking tour in Lai Chi Vun in Coloane earlier this week.
