A female worker from the mainland died after falling for around seven metres, from the fifth floor to the platform level, on the construction site of the five-star Morpheus hotel in Cotai yesterday, according to media report.
The Fire Services Bureau (CB) received a report about the accident at around 5 p.m. After arriving, the emergency services found that the 32-year-old victim was neither breathing nor did she have a heartbeat. She was transferred to the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre, where her vital signs were once detected again.
However, she was pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m. at the public hospital, according to the Public Security Police (PSP).
The case has been transferred to the Judiciary Police (PJ) for investigation while the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) has been notified of the incident.
