The police have arrested eight men and two women from Macau, Hong Kong, and Vietnam in a drug bust on Monday, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a special press conference yesterday.
Ho noted that the 10 suspects include six local men, a local woman, a man from Hong Kong, a Vietnamese man, and a Vietnamese woman. The suspects are aged between 21 and 52, with occupations ranging from cleaner to masseuse and unemployed.
According to Ho, the police recently received a tip-off about a man and a woman selling drugs near the Ruins of St. Paul. After investigating, the police discovered that more people were involved. On Monday evening, the police took action and raided two flats, one in Rua de D. Belchior Carneiro and the other near the Barrier Gate checkpoint.
