The Urban Planning Council (CPU) yesterday decided to postpone its discussion about a redevelopment project on a plot at Cheoc Van Garden – a complex of villas in Coloane. The owner of the property of the plot – an abandoned building – is asking to convert it into a budget hotel.

Yesterday’s regular meeting of the council, held at the Transport Bureau (DSAT) Building, included a discussion about the proposed legal development conditions for the plot on which the abandoned building is situated.

The legal development conditions for the plot drafted by the Lands, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) propose that the plot, which is near Cheoc Van Beach, be used for restaurants and a clubhouse as well as other commercial purposes.
