Two Tigerair flight attendants who worked on flights between Taiwan and Macau have got the measles, the Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday, urging passengers on the flights to avoid public activities, wear surgical masks and see the doctor if symptoms of measles appear.
According to the statement, the bureau received a report from Taiwan on Tuesday night about the measles-infected flight attendants – a man and a woman, both from Taiwan.
The statement said that the male flight attendant in his 30s began to show signs of measles on March 24 but was only diagnosed with measles in Taiwan on Tuesday. During that time he worked on Tigerair’s 8 a.m. flight from Taoyuan to Macau on Monday (IT303) and on the 11 a.m. flight from Kaohsiung to Macau (IT322) the same day.
