A report by the Personal Data Protection Office (GPDP) states that police officers equipped with body-worn video cameras (BWVCs) are not allowed to use them in temples, churches, toilets, changing rooms and hospitals.
If, the report underlines, “BWVCs are activated in such venues unwittingly, the captured footage should be deleted immediately.”
The report issued at the request of the Public Security Police (PSP) is now available on the watchdog’s official website in Chinese, English and Portuguese (http://www.gpdp.gov.mo).
