The Public Security Police (PSP) have busted an illegal immigration racket involving a taxi driver and three mainlanders, a PSP spokesperson said in a press conference on Friday.
The spokesperson identified the suspects as a local cabbie surnamed Chan, two male mainlanders both surnamed Zhong, and a female mainlander surnamed Luo.
At around 4 a.m. last Thursday, the spokesperson said, PSP officers stopped a taxi carrying three passengers in Estrada de Hac Sa in Coloane. Among the three passengers, two couldn’t show any identification documents to the police. All four people were taken to a police station for questioning.
