The Judiciary Police (PJ), in collaboration with the Macau Customs Service, the Zhuhai Public Security Bureau and Gongbei Customs, have busted a case of drug-smuggling by parcel delivery in which 16.44 kilos of khat was seized, PJ spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said during a special press conference yesterday.
Gongbei is Zhuhai’s land border checkpoint with Macau.
Two male mainlanders were arrested in Zhuhai in connection with the case earlier this month, Lei said, who identified the duo as a 34-year-old surnamed Du and a 30-year-old surnamed Fan.
