The body of a local man was found at Cheoc Van Beach yesterday morning, after he had gone there to collect oysters the previous day, according to a statement by the Judiciary Police (PJ).
The statement identified the deceased as a 55-year-old surnamed Tam.
The statement said that on Wednesday afternoon Tam went to Cheoc Van (“Bamboo Bay” in Chinese) waterfront to harvest oysters. On that evening Tam’s family realised that he still hadn’t returned home, so they went to look for him.
