The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a 32-year-old woman from the mainland on Monday for stealing HK$197,000 in cash from a retired 61-year-old Hong Kong man in a guestroom of a casino-hotel resort in Cotai in April, PJ spokesman Chan Wun Man said during a special press conference yesterday.
According to Chan, the suspect from Jilin province, surnamed Qi, claims to be unemployed.
The victim came to Macau from Hong Kong as a tourist and checked into the Cotai casino-hotel resort on April 2, Chan said.
