Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On has appointed Mi Jian as the new director of the government’s Policy Research Office (GEP) for a one-year term, succeeding Lao Pun Lap who will retire tomorrow, the Government Spokesperson’s Office (GPV) said in a statement yesterday.
The statement pointed out that Chui decided to appoint Mi, now the office’s principal consultant, for the new post due to his extensive experience in policy research and sound managerial skills.
According to an executive order issued by Chui for Mi’s appointment published in the Official Gazette (BO) yesterday, Mi has been the office’s principal consultant since its establishment in 2011.
