A woman has been arrested for beating her son with a stick, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said during a regular press conference at the PJ headquarters in Zape yesterday.
According to Lei, the suspect is a 30-year-old woman from the mainland surnamed Deng who is unemployed and is staying in Macau on a multi-entry visa, while the victim is her three-year-old son who is attending a local kindergarten. Lei said that the two live in a flat in Rua das Estalagens.
Lei said that on Sunday Deng went to pick up her son after an extracurricular activity, when she was told by a teacher that the victim had been behaving badly during the class. Deng told her son off on the way home. The boy threw a tantrum and kept crying.
