The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a man from the mainland on Tuesday for burgling a flat in a residential estate in Zape from where he stole three mobile phones in March, PJ spokesman Lai Man Vai said during a special press conference yesterday.

The suspect admitted to having burgling the flat as he had gambled away all his money.

Lai identified the suspect as a 38-year-old surnamed Chen who told police that he works as an electrician and plumber on the mainland.
