Ikea is recalling the Lurvig water dispenser for pets due to risk of dogs and cats getting their heads stuck in the dome of the water dispenser with possible suffocation as a consequence, the Swedish retailer said in a recent statement.
The statement urged customers to stop using the water dispenser and return it to any Ikea store for a full refund.
According to the company, they have received reports of two incidents where dogs got their heads stuck in the dome of the Lurvig water dispenser and suffocated. Lurvig water dispensers have been sold in 15 markets since it was introduced in October last year.
