A mainland woman was arrested on Saturday for using a fake passport to withdraw chips worth HK$50,000 from a casino account in Zape earlier this month, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesperson Ho Chan Man said during a regular press conference yesterday.

According to the Ho, the suspect is a 44-year-old surnamed Wang, who works as a doorwoman.

Ho said that in the afternoon of July 10, Wang, along with another suspect at large at the time of the press conference, went to a casino in Zape. Wang presented the bogus passport to a staff member at the casino and applied for another membership card for the casino account in the name of the person on the fake passport. Later, she was given a new card.
