Yolanda Leong Sok Man, president of the Macau Breastfeeding Association, said yesterday in Flora Garden that her group “wants to let the public know the legitimacy of breastfeeding and that mothers breastfeeding in public areas should not be driven away.”
Leong made the remarks on the sidelines of a breastfeeding promotion activity held by the association in the public park.
It is currently “World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) 2018” and the theme this year is “Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life”. This was the sixth year that the Macau Breastfeeding Association held the annual event “Breastfeed Pop-up” to promote WBW and the idea that mothers are entitled to breastfeed in public.
