How do young people spend their summer in Macau? Some go away on holiday, many sign up to learn something new, some take up extra private tutoring lessons, some do internships, and there are some who experience being a volunteer.
About two dozen youths turned up at the Asilo Vila Madalena home for the elderly in Coloane on Wednesday, greeting senior citizens there as they played games, talked and did a small quiz and sang along with them to their favourite songs.
The young people were from Sunshine Volunteer Group from the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau’s (DSEJ) Youth Activity Centre (YAC) located in the Outer Harbour area.
