BEIJING – A new regulation on the application and granting of residence permits for Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan residents living on the Chinese mainland was promulgated yesterday.
The regulation, published on the website of the State Council, will take effect on September 1.
It was promulgated to provide more convenience in terms of study, work, business operation, and life for residents from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan living on the mainland, and ensure their rights and interests, the document says.
