The resurfacing of the Guia Circuit prior to November’s Macau Grand Prix, will take place tomorrow, with extra resurfacing to be carried out compared to last time, Diamantino Augusto Torrado, coordinator of the Macau Grand Prix Committee (MGPC) Infrastructure Subcommittee, said during a press conference yesterday at the Grand Prix Building in Avenida da Amizade.
The press conference was held along with several other government bodies including the Transport Bureau (DSAT) and Sports Bureau (ID) to announce details of this year’s resurfacing work.
Augusto Torrado said that due to various causes including the road wearing out, additional areas on the 6.2-km Guia Circuit would be resurfaced this year, adding there would be an up to 10 percent increase in the resurfacing area compared to last time.
