The Public Security Police (PSP) have arrested a local man who punched a driving test examiner in a fit of anger after failing the test, PSP spokesman Fong Cheong Chun said during a regular press conference in Zape yesterday.

According to Fong, the suspect is a 22-year-old surnamed Yau, who works as a casino host while the victim is a 47-year-old local man surnamed Si Tou.

Fong said that on Tuesday morning, Yau was taking his driving test in Taipa with Si Tou as his examiner. During the test as Yau was driving in Estrada da Ponta da Cabrita, the victim instructed him to park the car at a specific spot. However, as his parking didn’t meet the required standard, he failed the test. Yau begged the victim to pass him, but to no avail. Outraged, Yau punched the victim in the head and the chest twice. The victim reported the assault to the Public Security Police (PSP).
