The Judiciary Police (PJ) have arrested a father who assaulted his son multiple times last month and this month, PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Ho, the suspect is a 35-year-old non-resident worker surnamed Hu, who works as a clerk. The suspect married his wife – a local resident – in 2013. The two have a four-year-old son and they live in a flat in San Kio district.
Ho said that since last month, Hu had assaulted his sons three times over minor matters, and the assaults included slapping his son on the back and pinching his arms. Hu’s wife demanded that the suspect move out over the incidents, but to no avail. On August 18, she made a report to the police.
