The Public Security Police (PSP) caught a male mainlander yesterday for taking a mobile phone he found in a taxi, PSP spokesman Cheong Heon Fan said during a regular press conference yesterday.

According to Cheong, the suspect, surnamed Ye, is in his twenties, while the victim is a male mainlander whose surname was not provided.

Cheong said that on Tuesday evening the victim was in a taxi heading for Cotai. After getting off, the victim realised that he had left his smartphone in the cab, so he informed the police.
