Hit by discontent about a year ago, Alicia Hu Yuan Yuan picked up a brush and started to paint by just copying other’s artwork, and stroke by stroke, she found happiness through painting and has since quit her job to pursue art.
Having learnt painting techniques online, she started to create her own original paintings, some of which are currently featured in her solo exhibition entitled “It’s All about Passion” at 10 Fantasia gallery.
Hu was born in Liaoning province and grew up in Heilongjiang province – the country’s northernmost province. She studied her Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature at Jinan University in Guangzhou. After graduating in 2007, she moved to Macau and worked as an office assistant at a gaming company, and later became a permanent resident.
