The Health Bureau (SSM) announced last night that it had recorded the second imported case of malaria of the year, after logging the first one last Friday.
According to the statement, the two patients are husband and wife, aged 56 and 35, who live in Areia Preta. The couple travelled to Mozambique together on August 16.
The wife returned to Macau on September 2 and became ill on September 4 before being diagnosed with malaria last Friday, the statement said.
