A 74-year-old man was found dead in a flat in Fai Fu Building – a social rental housing estate in Fai Chi Kei - after a fire broke out there early Friday morning.
According to a spokesman for the Fire Services Bureau (CB), the blaze broke out in a flat on the 17th floor at 5 a.m. When firefighters arrived at the scene and broke into the flat, they found the man lying near the metal gate, with burns to his head and limbs. The man was found to have died at the scene.The Housing Bureau (IH) confirmed on Friday that the deceased was a tenant.
