Police catch Mid-Autumn Festival robber

The police caught a robber red-handed outside a Cotai resort-hotel on Monday – the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Leng Kam Lun said during a special press conference at the PJ headquarters yesterday.

According to Leng, the suspect is a 25-year-old male mainlander surnamed Zhang, who claimed to be unemployed. The victim is a male mainlander in his 50s, who was visiting Macau with his wife and daughter.

Leng said that on Monday evening, while the victim was walking past an entrance of the hotel, Zhang started to talk to the victim, asking him whether he wanted to exchange some currency.
