The Judiciary Police (PJ) have nabbed eight male and a female member of a mainland gang of thieves who stole valuables worth 450,000 patacas, PJ spokesman Leng Kam Lun said during a special press conference on Friday.
According to Leng, the suspects are aged between 21 and 55, and are all from Jiangxi province.
Leng said that the Judiciary Police received a report from a casino on August 17 that a woman’s handbag had been stolen – losing valuables of 180,000 patacas. During the investigation, the police checked CCTV tapes and later located the suspects in a flat in Rua Cidade de Braga in Zape.
