After the Judiciary Police (PJ) announced on Tuesday the arrest of a 78-year-old local music teacher for his alleged molestation of two girls, a female student who says that she is the suspect’s former pupil, has posted a #MeToo online allegation against him.

According to the Judiciary Police, the two girls are sisters aged eight and nine, who started to attend the suspect’s course in April. The two girls said that the suspect, surnamed Chan, had asked them to sit on his lap when there were not many people in the room, and the suspect sometimes would even touch their bodies.

After the news made headlines in Wednesday’s newspapers, Kate Tang wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday that she had been molested by the suspect multiple times. According to the post, she was a member of a youth music group who were rehearsing with the suspect in a residential building in Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro in February 2010, adding that the incident had caused her emotional issues ever since.
