The Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday that it has recorded the 11th imported case of dengue fever this year.
According to the statement, the patient is a 17-year-old schoolboy who studies in a school in Toi San district and lives in Rua da Mitra – a street in the Guia Hill area between the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre and Rua do Campo.
The boy went to the city of Jiangmen in Guangdong province with his younger brother where they visited their relatives between October 1 and 2 and October 6 and 7, the statement said. Jiangmen lies about 60 kilometres north of Macau.
