Two traffic accidents within half an hour of each other on Friendship Bridge yesterday morning caused traffic tailbacks in both directions.
In the first accident, five cars going towards the peninsula piled into each other on the bridge at around 8 a.m. yesterday. Four local residents aged between 33 and 55 suffered minor injuries and were transferred to the private Kiang Wu Hospital for treatment, according to the Fire Services Bureau (CB).
Meanwhile, the other crash involved a coach, a taxi, and a scooter heading towards Taipa. The 31-year-old male scooter rider suffered minor injuries and was transferred to the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre for treatment.
