The government said yesterday that it expects the successful bidder for the licence of another 200 special radio taxis to start running its first 100 vehicles in the third quarter of next year.

Chang Cheong Hin, acting chief of the Traffic Management Department of the Transport Bureau (DSAT), made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting in which DSAT officials unsealed bids submitted by five firms for a company licence to operate another 200 special radio taxis.
