Macau is “well prepared” for the launch of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB), the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) said in a weekend statement.
The facilities offering cross-border services for passengers and vehicles travelling between Macau and Hong Kong will be open 24 hours a day, once the bridge is launched on Wednesday, the statement said.
Customs clearance between Macau and Zhuhai will be carried out on a “joint inspection and one-time release” principle, in order to make the process efficient for travellers using the bridge.

The bridge will start operation on Wednesday, further integrating the 11 cities of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and elsewhere in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region. – Xinhua
