The Judiciary Police (PJ) yesterday contacted a schoolgirl of the Luso-Chinese Vocational and Technical School who appeared to be being assaulted by another schoolgirl, according to a video circulating online.
In the video, a young girl was slapped across the face and kicked to the ground by another girl in an unidentified alley, with both of them wearing the uniform of the Luso-Chinese Vocational and Technical School. In the video, someone was heard yelling off camera during the assault that “you are not hitting her hard enough” while another shouted “she has to pay her debt”.
In a statement yesterday, the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) said that the Luso-Chinese Vocational and Technical School became aware of the clip through a social media platform yesterday, and afterwards immediately notified the police and helped the parents file a report to the Judiciary Police, adding that the school would also provide counselling for the school’s pupils and their parents.
