Chui briefs Xi on Macau’s progress

Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On yesterday briefed President Xi Jinping on Macau’s progress while the latter and other dignitaries toured one of the Macau exhibition areas at the 1st China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) said in a statement.

According to the statement, the briefing happened after the expo’s opening ceremony yesterday morning, at the “Macao Hub” exhibition area, a section set up by the local government within the China Pavilion. 

In the afternoon, Chui toured a second Macau-themed display area, organised by the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), at the Business Pavilion of the expo’s “Trade in Goods – Foods and Agricultural Products Zone”, according to the statement.
