Woman drags boyfriend’s ex under moving car: police

The police have arrested a 25-year-old woman suspected of running over her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend and dragging her under the car shortly after midnight on Saturday outside Block 5 of luxury residential estate Windsor Arch in Estrada Lou Lim Ieok in Taipa, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Choi Ian Fai said during a special press conference yesterday, adding that the ex-girlfriend was in a critical condition.

According to Choi, the suspect surnamed Sio, who is unemployed, is the man’s current girlfriend. The man and the ex-girlfriend started dating in 2013. The victim began living with the man and his family last year. The ex-girlfriend had not moved out after the couple broke up in September this year as she told the man that she had nowhere to stay, according to Choi.

When firemen and paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after midnight on Saturday, they saw a woman in her twenties – the victim – lying on the ground slightly unconscious, suffering from a brain haemorrhage. She was rushed to the public Conde de S. Januario Hospital Centre for emergency treatment, where she was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). The victim was still is in a critical condition at the time of the press conference.
