Two mainland men told the police they were robbed of HK$1 million at knife point by three men who also appeared to have stun guns in a casino resort hotel room in Cotai on Saturday afternoon, the Judiciary Police (PJ) have announced.

According to a PJ statement on Sunday, police received a call on Saturday afternoon from two men reporting that they had been robbed by three men carrying a knife and brandishing what appeared to be stun guns in a hotel room in Cotai and that HK$1 million had been taken from them, according to the statement.

The two men told the police they had intended to transfer the HK$1 million to the mainland and had contacted a man to handle the remittance.
