The Lands, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) said in a statement yesterday that its officials, in conjunction with officials from several other government entities, have repossessed an illegally occupied plot of land in Hac Sa Village in Coloane.
The officials carried out the repossession of the public plot covering an area of 70,740 square metres last Tuesday, the statement said.
The statement said that DSSOPT officials had discovered during their regular inspections that the public plot had been illegally occupied. DSSOPT officials inspected the village early this year and found that an illegal land reclamation project was being carried out there.
