November casino revenue growth tops forecasts

Macau’s gross gaming revenue growth in November topped analysts’ estimates, as casino operators regained some momentum following months of weakness tied to mainland China’s economic slowdown.

Gross gaming revenue rose 8.5 percent in November to 24.99 billion patacas from a year earlier, according to data released by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) on Saturday. That beat the median analyst forecast for year-on-year growth of 4 percent.

However, revenue was down 8.5 percent month-on-month.
