Drunk driver rear-ends motorcycle: police

A man driving under the influence (DUI) crashed into the back of a motorcycle injuring the rider on Monday night, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Lam Keong said at a regular press conference yesterday.

Lam said the driver is a retiree surnamed Tam is in his 60s.

On Monday at 11 p.m., the police received a report about a traffic accident in Avenida da Amizade and when the police arrived at the scene, they found a private car parked in the middle of the road with the driver sitting in it. A toppled motorcycle was also found with the injured rider sitting on the kerb, according to Lam.
