The Judiciary Police (PJ), in collaboration with the Macau Customs Service and the mainland police, have busted a gang smuggling illegal immigrants from the mainland into Macau, the two local law enforcement agencies jointly announced in a special press conference yesterday.
Four members of the gang and four illegal immigrants were caught in Macau, while five members of the gang and an illegal immigrant were arrested in the mainland, a PJ spokesperson said during yesterday’s press conference.
The four male gang members arrested in Macau, aged between 27 and 32, are all mainlanders. The four male illegal immigrants caught in Macau, aged between 27 and 59, are also all mainlanders who have been banned from entering Macau by the Macau authorities, the spokesperson said.
