A liquid suspected to be acid was thrown in a woman’s face yesterday afternoon in an alley near Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues in Zape over an “emotional dispute”, according to the Public Security Police (PSP) yesterday.
The location of the incident is near the Campo de Dragão Chinese Restaurant near the PSP headquarters.
The police said that the injured blue-card holder in her forties – a non-resident worker – was seriously injured and was taken to the nearby public Conde Sao Januario Hospital Centre for treatment. She sustained serious burns on her face and hands, according to the police.
